The working principle of the oil filter is to filter out impurities such as carbon deposits, metal particles, and dust generated by the engine through filter media such as filter paper, to prevent these harmful substances from affecting the normal operation of the engine. Generally, oil filters are divided into two types: mechanical and hydraulic. The hydraulic oil filter is driven by the pressure of the engine oil to filter the oil out of the filter element, achieving the filtering effect. After long-term use, the oil filter will accumulate dirt and waste, resulting in a decrease in the filtering effect, and a new oil filter needs to be replaced.
The working principle of the fuel filter is to filter impurities in the fuel, such as sand, rust, decayed substances, and water, making the filtered fuel more pure, avoiding impurities entering the combustion chamber to affect the combustion efficiency and engine life. The fuel filter is mainly composed of a filter element and a filter housing, the filter element is made of paper, silk, etc., and the filter housing is made of metal or plastic, with the filter element installed inside. When the fuel flows through the filter element, impurities will be filtered out, and the pure fuel is transported to the fuel injection pump and nozzle. After long-term use, the fuel filter will accumulate a large amount of dirt and waste, resulting in a decrease in the filtering effect, and a new fuel filter should be replaced.
When replacing oil and fuel filters, be sure to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and guidance in the service manual.
